Butch Blosser

Butch Blosser, 73, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on November 10, 2018 following a courageous and lengthy battle with his health. Butch was a devoted husband, father & grandfather with a strong work ethic. He attended West Hills Baptist Church. He played baseball and football at Farragut High School and following graduating, played football for East Tennessee State. He also served in the Army National Guard. A man of few words, Butch served many in his life, and spent the bulk of his time with his children and grandchildren at their sporting events. A youth sports enthusiast, he taught them everything including baseball, softball, hockey, equestrian skills, and emphasized working towards goals, good sportsmanship and values along the way. Butch retired from the TVA and Superior Steel. He was a skilled potter, loved animals, and before his illness was an active motorcycle rider, avid boater, scuba diver, and water skier. He will always be remembered for his faithful and humble spirit and his support and devotion to his family. Butch was preceded in death by parents, Theron & Ruth Blosser and brother, Allen Blosser. He is survived and will be forever missed by his wife of 32 years, Libby Blosser; children, Dawn, Theron, and Tia Blosser, Dylan Benson; grandchildren, Sydney and Jayden Blosser and Caleb Benson; brother, Richard Blosser and wife Liz; several nieces and nephews; and many other extended family and friends. The family wants to extend appreciation to his special caretakers: Esmond, Dylan, Vicki, Kay, Dawn, and the entire staff of Keystone Adult Daycare for their exceptional care. The Funeral Service will be held at Rose Mann Heritage Chapel, 6200 Kingston Pike on Thursday, November 15th at 7pm, with Rev. Drew Prince officiating. Visitation will precede beginning at 5pm. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, November 16th at 11am at Edgewood Cemetery.
