Patricia Scott

Patricia Ann May Scott, age 85 of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. She was a graduate of Bearden High School class of 1956, where she was a cheerleader and played drums in the band. Pati then attended Tennessee Wesleyan College where she sang in the college choir and received a one year teaching degree. She worked at Sears at West Town Mall for 20 years. She was an active member of the Wellness Community, Daughter of the Confederacy, Civil War Roundtable, Knox County Republican Club, Scottish Society of Knoxville, Friends of the Knoxville Humane Society, Tennessee Right to Life and Volunteers for Life. Pati played the drums in the Knoxville Pipes and Drums and Western NC Pipes and Drums. She also participated in the Senior Olympics. In her spare time she enjoyed tending to her flowers, hiking, canoeing, swimming and visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. Pati or “Mimi”, as she was affectionately known, was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who had an unending well of love she poured into her family. Her impact on our community was great and her loss will be felt by the many lives she touched. Pati is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Alvin and Kathlyn Ailor May; sister, Teri May Fox; brother, Lloyd “Sonny” May; and great-granddaughter, Conlee Ann McCurry. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her children, Michael Scott (Kim), Randall Scott (Regi), Michele Chandler (Mike) and Rebecca Robbins; grandchildren, Shelby McCullough (Charlie), Kristen Scott, Shane Scott (V), Bryar Scott, Courtney Lindsay, Cassidy Carroll (Travis), Canaan Allen (Jordan), Lindsay Kowalski (Rich) and Jonathan Robbins; great-grandchildren, Gray, Lily. Isabella, Zane and Knox; The Brice and Buckner families; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28th from 5:00-7:00pm at Zion Cornerstone Church (1807 Duncan Rd. Knoxville, TN 37919) with a Funeral Service to follow, Rev. Rex Rodgers officiating. Family and friends will gather at Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, September 29th at 11:00am for interment.
