Alice Ann Reeves Robinson

Alice Ann Reeves Robinson, 91 ,of Spring City and Knoxville. TN, went home to Heaven on July 16, 2015 at NHC Sumner Place located in Gallatin. TN. She was born on November 19. 1923, in Stanton, IL to Milford and Lucy (Markwood) Scher. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward Reeves, husband of 46 years, and Doyle Wayne Robinson husband of 20 years, and her two brothers, Mark and Richard Scher. Survivors include her children Mark (Kathy) Reeves of Knoxville, TN, Georgia Morgan of Chattanooga, TN, Debbie Carnes of Dalton, GA, and Cloris (Scott) Denney of Hendersonville, TN. :eight grandchildren. Heather M. Gentry of Dayton, TN. Allison M. Walsh of Roanoke, VA, Chad Reeves of Greenville, S.C., Natalie (Lee) Clevenger of Knoxville, TN, Josh (Kortney) Carnes of Prosper, TX, Man(Lindsay) Denney of Hendersonville, TN. Caleb (Harper) Carnes of Dalton, GA and Mark Denney of Nashville, TN :fourteen great-grandchildren, Alex and Olivia Clevenger, Lauren Reeves. Tyler and Madison Gentry, Alex Walsh, Dalton, Hadley. Ansley, Penelope and Cal Carnes, Caroline, Andrew, and Luke Denny: dear friends, June and John Hammerel. Alice was a member of First Baptist Church and Wolf Creek Baptist Church both of Spring City,TN. After her move to Knoxville, she joined Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and Bluegrass Baptist Church of Knoxville, TN.She was a faithful Christian and loved serving the Lord in all areas of her life. She especially loved sharing Christ with children in the church nursery,G.A.'s, and Vacation Bible School. Her passion was worshiping the Lord through song. She was a faithful member of her church choir.She also had the privilege of singing solos as well as participating in ensembles. She was a dedicated wife,mother,and grandmother who set a Christian example and lasting legacy of faith for her family and others. A celebration of her life will be held at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. 6200 Kingston Pike,Knoxville,TN. 37919 on Sunday,July 19. 2015. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m.with the funeral service following. The burial will be held on Tuesday.July 21, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.at East Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery , Lyons View in Knoxville,TN.Pastor Dennis Davidson,of Bluegrass Baptist Church.will officiate with special music by Sharon Rowlette.
