Anne Hart - Murrian

Anne Hart – Murrian entered Heaven August 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by Father, John Rhea Hart, and Mother, Lois Bailey Hart, sister, Jennie Hart Reid, brother John Ronald Hart, and sister, Yvonne Rhea Hart Sorey. She grew up in a loving family with 4 other siblings. Anne went to Christenberry Elementary and then to Central High School where she met, fell in love with and married Richard Ted Murrian (deceased). She then spent 20 years as an Air Force wife that provided many opportunities and experiences. In stateside moves, Anne spent 13 years in education serving as Dean of Girls, Dept Chairman, Dance Instructor, Coach of Girls’ Athletic teams in secondary and college level from Knoxville, TN to Albuquerque, New Mexico to Long Beach and Mississippi to Sacramento, CA. From Sacramento, the moves around the world began: The Orient (Philippines) where she took up golf, served as the president of the Cleark AB Women’s Golf Association and captained the base women’s team. England was the next stop in which she met and became friends with many people in the local villages. Moving home she earned her general contractor’s license in residential construction. She helped build several developments such as Hart’s Creek, Whittington Creek, Lake Ridge (phase II) Tellico Village and Glen Creek. She then used that knowledge to focus on real estate with Coldwell Banker Wallace and Wallace, now known as Wallace Real Estate. In all of her adventures, her interest was always the people and the friendships formed. Anne is survived by sister, Lynne Hart Bowlby, sister – in – law Patricia Robertson Hart, nephews Phillip Craig Bowlby and Brian Russell Hart, nieces K. Patrice Cox, Vicki Cox Wolinsky (Mark), and Candace Hart Burrow, along with several other nieces and nephews. We want to deeply thank all of the staff at NHC Oak Ridge for their loving and excellent care which Anne experienced every day. Also, to her fellow realtors that visited her and showed her so much love. We are grateful. We also want to give gratitude to Judy Harville and Barb Slagle for their close friendship with Anne for many years. Family will receive friends Saturday, September 2nd from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a brief service at 3:30pm at Rose Funeral and Cremation – Mann 6200 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919.
