With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cheryll Lynn Kitts, who left this world peacefully on March 27th, 2025. She was 70 years old. Born on November 17, 1954, in Winchester, Kentucky, Cheryll was a woman of warmth, strength, and unwavering kindness. She pursued her passion for helping others at the University of Tennessee, where she was a proud member of the second-ever graduating class of UT's nursing program. For over 40 years, she dedicated her life to nursing, providing compassionate care to countless patients and making a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Cheryll found joy in the simple yet beautiful things in life. She adored the rich colors of autumn, the warmth and magic of Christmas, and above all, the blessing of being a mother to her beloved son. She had an incredible gift for conversation, always eager to share laughter, wisdom, and kindness with friends old and new. Her social spirit and ability to make lasting connections were a testament to her love for people and the joy she found in community. A devoted Christian, Cheryll lived her faith through unconditional love and kindness. She extended grace to everyone—family, friends, and even strangers—reflecting the heart of Christ in all she did. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. While her physical presence is no longer with us, her love, generosity, and unwavering spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Cheryll is survived by her son Ryan, her brothers Kevin and Tony, her heart sister Pam, nieces and nephews and very many close and dear friends. A memorial service of Cheryll’s life will be held on April 5th, 2025 at Rose Mann's mortuary in Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to St. Jude's children's hospital, continuing her lifelong mission of care and compassion. Cheryll’s love was boundless, her faith unshakable, and her presence unforgettable. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and endless love that will never fade.
