Frances Boruff

Frances Roberts Boruff, 85, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 24th in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on July 5th, 1938, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the proud parents of Earl and Eleanor Roberts. Frances' journey in this world was a testament to her love, resilience, and devotion to her family and faith. In 1958, Frances began a beautiful love story when she married Bobby Gene Boruff in Memphis, TN. Together, they embarked on a lifelong adventure, building a strong foundation of love, companionship, and shared memories. Their journey led them to Knoxville, where they created a cherished Christian home and community for their family. Frances was not only a loving wife but also a dedicated mother who poured her heart into raising her three beloved sons, Brian, Gary, and Jeff. Her nurturing spirit, wisdom, and unwavering support were a source of inspiration to her 3 boys, who continue to carry forward her values and legacy. A woman of faith, Frances found her spiritual home at the First Baptist Church of Concord in 1968. She was a pillar of strength within the congregation, actively participating in numerous ministries that reflected her compassion, kindness, and commitment to serving others. Her impact on the church community will be remembered for generations to come. Frances' memory lives on through her devoted husband, Bob; three cherished sons, Brian and wife Susan, Gary and wife Carol, Jeff and wife Christie; two loving sisters, Mary Short and Beverly Cottle; dear brother, Sammy Roberts; and treasured grandchildren, Kallie Boruff Emanuel, Katherine Boruff, Cole Boruff, Connor Boruff, and Caitlin Boruff. Her warmth, love, and guidance will forever be etched in their hearts. Beyond her roles as a wife, mother, sister, friend, and grandmother, Frances embraced life with a vibrant spirit. She found joy in playing tennis, exploring new places through her travels, and cherishing every moment spent with her family and friends. Her laughter, love, and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her. As we bid farewell to Frances, we celebrate the legacy of a remarkable woman whose life was a beacon of love, faith, and strength. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and uplift us in the days ahead. A Celebration of Life service to honor Frances' life will be held on Friday, September 29th in the main worship sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Concord at 6pm. The family will receive friends from 4-6. A Private Family Interment will be held at Pleasant Forest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Mission of Hope, a cause that was close to Frances' heart. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.
