Frank Joseph Kobosky

Frank Joseph Kobosky, 73, of Knoxville, TN passed away April 24, 2021 of Congestive Heart Failure. He was home, surrounded by his family as he went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is the son of Joseph and Elva (Staggs) Kobosky. Born April 27, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA he graduated Bellevue High School in 1965, moved to Tennessee with his new bride, Bobbie, continued his education at the University of Tennessee earning a BS and MS. He was active in law enforcement as a state firearms instructor, law enforcement planning, and a retired teacher. Frank was an active member of Christ Covenant Church, a Sunday school teacher, member of the East Tennessee Corvette Club, a HABIT dog therapy trainer, loved to travel, skater and hockey player, and was an avid Steelers fan. Frank was a proud father and grandfather, had a generous spirit, and a love for animals. He had a tender heart for people with special needs. He loved God, guns, pups, and people. He is predeceased by his parents, his father-in-law, Edward Spires, his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Spires, his sister-in-law, Cheryl Livingston, and his nephew, Frank Grando. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Bobbie, their daughters, Michelle Begehr and husband Tom, Marcie Kindred and husband Mike, and Kristin Kobosky. Grandchildren; Teague, Trace, and Lily Joy Kindred, and Luke Begehr. Brother and sister-in-law Randy and Nancy Spires. Niece; Monica Wilson (Todd). Nephews; Colton Spires and Justin Wilson (Nicole). At Christ Covenant Church, 12915 Kingston Pike, on Saturday, May 1, the family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm with a service of celebration of life at 4:00 pm with reception to follow. The family suggests any memorials be made to Christ Covenant Church Adult Continuing Ed. - Benevolence Fund or First Baptist Concord Helping Hands Ministry.
