Jones, Marabel A., 83 of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, passed away on November 13, 2011 at her home in Knoxville, Tennessee. Services will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2011, in Knoxville, Tennessee at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel, 6200 Kingston Pike, 37919, phone number 865-588-8578. Receiving of friends and family will be from 3:00 – 4:30 pm. EST followed by a funeral service in Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. An inurnment ceremony will be held at 11:00 am. CST on November 23, 2011 at the Fairfield Glade Community Church Columbarium, 521 Snead Drive, Fairfield Glade TN 38558, phone number 931-484-7412. The Reverend Dr. Charles R. Traylor of Fairfield Glade Community Church will officiate at both ceremonies. Marabel A. Jones was born in Ironwood, Michigan to Anthony Kroppe and Mary Isabel (Pickard) Kroppe on November 21, 1927. She married Harry J. Jones on August 19, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. Marabel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also was a small business woman who owned and operated clothing stores in Michigan. Upon her retirement she and her husband Harry moved to Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. In Fairfield Glade, Marabel was an active member of the Fairfield Glade Community Church. She enjoyed her time in Tennessee with a busy social life full of many great friends, golfing and bridge. Marabel was able to continue to her favorite hobbies including cooking, travel and shopping. Marabel was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Isabel Kroppe and her husband Harry. Marabel is survived by her, son Larry and wife Nicola of Sunnyvale, California, daughter Marianne and partner Adrienne of Seattle, Washington, son Robert and wife Anne of Knoxville, Tennessee and daughter Amy and her husband Michael of Beverly Hills, Michigan. She is survived by her sister Jean Kroppe, brother William Kroppe and his wife Gloria. Marabel has six grandchildren; Caitlin (Jones) Fairfield, Kathleen, Lindsay, Ryan, Megan and Michael.
