Michael Alan Hueser

HUESER, MICHAEL ALAN -age 73 of Andersonville passed away suddenly Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his residence. Mike was a member of the Fountain City United Methodist Church and sang in the church choir for many years. Mike was born November 24, 1951 in Radford, VA. He attended Knox Central High School, graduating in 1969 and East Tennessee State University graduating with a BBA degree in 1973. Mike was employed at Temperature Control, Inc. throughout his adult life, finally retiring as president. He also earned his master pipefitters license and mechanical contractor’s license. Mike was a member and served as president and treasurer of the Fountain City Sportsman’s Club, as well as Executive Director of the Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Inc., and trustee of the Plumbers and Pipefitters UA Local 102. Mike was a man of many talents who enjoyed swimming, water skiing, basketball, bowling, softball, volleyball, spelunking, boating. He enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada his uncle and cousins always claiming that the fish he caught were too big to bring home. He played clarinet in the Fountain City Elementary School and Central High School bands. He spent a whole summer of his high school visiting his relatives in Iowa experiencing the farmer’s life and participating in the midwestern mayhem of that time. He relished vacations to Ft. Walton Beach and RVing across the country in full retirement mode. He volunteered to work the Wednesday night kitchen duties at church for over 30 years, served as clubhouse manager at the Sportsmen’s club, and was the premier grille-master for the monthly family get togethers. He took on the effort to plan and build the decks on his and his parent’s house, improving his skillset to accomplish building his dream cabin on Norris Lake. He was generous to a fault, friend to all, and loved his family wholeheartedly. His passing will leave a huge void in many hearts. Mike was preceded in death by parents Vernon and Edna Hueser as well as wife Julia Hueser. He is survived by loving wife Jetta Hueser; sister and brother-in-law Diane and Bill Treadway of Morristown; brothers and sisters-in-law David and Betty Hueser, Tom and Chastity Hueser; and brother Jeff Hueser. Also survived by nieces, Jami Baker, Jenny Wightman, and Katie Hueser; nephews Jeremy Treadway, Bailey Hueser, Jared Hueser and Nick Hueser; sister-in-law Gail Kitts; brother-in-law Steve Norris; stepson Cory Blanton and wife Brittany; step-grandsons Silas and Lukas Blanton (“Good Mike”) and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 pm Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Fountain City United Methodist Church, followed by a Celebration of Life service in the sanctuary officiated by Reverends Don Hanshew, Randy Frye, and Rachel Collins. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery Friday, December 20, 2024 at 1:00 pm for graveside services. The pallbearers will be David Hueser, Jeff Hueser, Tom Hueser, Bill Treadway, Jeremy Hueser, Bailey Hueser, Jared Hueser, Craig Holtzclaw, and Travis White with Nick Hueser as an honorary pallbearer.
