Peggy Gossett

Peggy Gossett, age 84 of Knoxville, went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, March 24, 2025. Peggy was raised in Strawberry Plains, TN where she was an active member of her community. She had an immense love for animals. She was a cheerleader and a graduate of Carter High School. Her diverse career journey included the jewelry business and retail sales. She actively attended Park West church for the last 20 years. Peggy was a successful member of the Knoxville Association of Realtors for many years and loved serving her clients in real estate. After retiring from her career, she so enjoyed hosting at Lakeside Tavern for 18 years. She was a blessing to the staff and thousands of patrons she greeted over the years. She is preceded in death by father, J.R. Gossett; mother, Naomi King; brother, Jason Gossett; sister-in-law, Margo Gossett; and father of her children, Gordon White. Peggy is survived by daughters, Wyndi White (Jerry Gorsuch) & Kelly Ledford Hollis (Chappy); grandchildren, Israel Farless (Jessica), Amy Beth Gardner (Paul), Marisa Monroe (Tim), Brad Bullard, Caleb Hollis, Natalie Hollis Crotts (Buck), (Hope, Charlie, & Lydia Hollis whom she never had the pleasure to know), Brittany Vales, and Dakota Gorsuch; great and great-great grandchildren, Trinity, Aviean, Ella, Breonna, Bridgett, Rylan, Milo, Justice, and Theo; niece, Karman Gossett; nephew, Rance Gossett (Caroline McDonald); great nephew, Ravin Gossett; and several other cousins and extended family members. The family will receive friends from 10:00am-11:00am on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Rose Funeral and Cremation – Mann. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Dr. Gerald McGinnis officiating. Family and friends will go in procession to Edgewood Cemetery immediately after the service for a graveside service. Peggy loved flowers and the mission to end homelessness.
