Ruth Ellen Maccabee Ford

Ruth Ellen Ford, affectionately known as "Mamaw," was born on August 9, 1952. She graduated from Farragut High School in 1972. On Friday, January 10, 2025, Ruth peacefully went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was an avid crafter, cook, and devoted family member. She expressed her boundless love through her culinary talents, creating cherished family recipes that brought warmth and togetherness to every gathering. Her kitchen was a haven where she joyfully prepared meals, showcasing her passion for cooking and her generous spirit. Beyond her culinary skills, Ruth also enjoyed shopping and swimming and was a devoted fan of her soap operas. Ruth had a playful and fun-loving nature that was treasured by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her father, Earl Maccabee; mother, Lois Welch; sister, Nancy Maccabee; and granddaughter, Shayla Ford; and grandson, Grayson Keller: Ruth's legacy continues through her surviving family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rick Ford; son, Nicholas Ford (Stephanie Browning); daughters, Stephanie Ford (Daniel Keller) and Rachel Ford; grandchildren, Daniel James, Skylynn Mynatt, Araya Browning, Chevis Sharpe, Keria Ford, Ivie Ford, Levi Keller, and Selene Ford; great-grandson, Zayne James; brother, Michael Edgar (April); and sisters, Kimberly Hickam (Dallas), Kelli Motsch (Timothy), and Robin Howell (Mr. Howell). The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Autumn (Registered Nurse), Autumn (Certified Nursing Assistant), and Amanda (Nurse) at UT Hospital for their compassionate care and unwavering dedication to our beloved Ruth Ford. Your kindness and support have been a source of comfort during this difficult time. On Saturday, January 18, 2025, the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Rose Funeral & Cremation - Broadway. A service to honor Ruth's life will follow at 3:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Isaac Wood. The family extends their gratitude to all who attend Ruth's service. Your presence during this time is deeply appreciated. Ruth's unwavering love, culinary gifts, and joyful spirit have left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
