Sandra Caroline Hamilton

Sandra Caroline Hamilton age 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 of heart complications at UT Medical Center. Sandy was born November 25, 1949 to Edgar and Mildred Jones. She was their only daughter and the middle child. Growing up, she was very close to her older brother Donny and held so many fond memories of their childhood close to her heart. Years later her parents had another son Randy, who she raised after her parents passing away. As a young adult she met Charles Hamilton and fell in love from the very beginning. Charles fell in love with her long blonde hair and her beautiful, radiant personality. In March of 1970 Sandy became Mrs. Hamilton. Only a few short years later they welcomed their daughter into the world. Tina was her only daughter and her entire world. Sandy began singing with her daughter when Tina was just a small girl and because of that she realized how much she loved singing in church. She wrote songs herself and praised Jesus with every word. A few years after Tina got married, as a young adult, to Kaland Merrow, Sandy witnessed her first grandchild and only granddaughter Gabrielle entering the world. As her daughter and son-in-law worked, Sandy quit her job to spend time spoiling and helping raise her granddaughter. Six years later Sandy was also blessed with her only grandson Jakob. Gabrielle and Jakob spent every summer with Sandy and Charles at their little home close to Seymour. Sandy spent her life giving everything she could to her family and Jesus. The word of God lived inside of her as she led her daughter and grandkids closer to Jesus over the years. Anyone who met Sandra would say just how cheerful and perky she was. Her smile could light up and entire room and her voice will forever linger in the hearts of her loved ones. From the day she was saved to the day she passed, Jesus was the one thing she held above anything else. She will be cherished and loved forever. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at Dutch Valley Baptist Church 909 Dutch Valley Drive Knoxville, TN 37918. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm officiated by Rev. Charlie Reynolds and Rev. Jerry Little. Family and friends will meet Friday, February 23, 2018 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Hwy at 10:45 am for an 11:00 am interment.
