Sarah Beth Pattison (Nyberg)

Knoxville – Sarah Beth Pattison (Nyberg), age 45, went home to be with the Lord the night of June 23, 2024 after a long battle with inflammatory breast cancer. Sarah loved her family dearly and is survived by her husband Ty (45) and her three children Esther (17), Nell (16), and Eden (6). Sarah was born on November 17, 1978 in Portland, Oregon to Steve and Denise Nyberg. Her natural creativity and love of graphic design brought her south to the University of Tennessee. Upon graduation, she founded The Happy Envelope – an award-winning stationery design company – that she ran with her husband. Throughout her life, Sarah blessed those around her with the same beauty and wisdom captured in her designs and writings. Sarah was intentional. If Sarah made a promise, she kept it, and family and friends knew Sarah always wanted the best God had to offer them. Sarah wasn’t afraid to be bold. She nurtured relationships with purpose. She was a prayer warrior and somehow always had more to give. Her community poured into Sarah, and Sarah repaid us all with her unwavering focus on the heavenly prize promised in Christ. Sarah’s joy was a force of nature - an outpouring of her faith. She was a great storyteller with a huge personality. Whether leading team cheers during Beach Olympics or dominating musical chairs at Trail West YoungLife club, Sarah was always “all in” and so fun to be around. She feared the Lord and celebrated His goodness at all times. Beyond her husband and children, Sarah is survived by her parents, her brother Tim and spouse Tarah, and nephews Isaac and Ezra. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday June 30th, with a formal receiving of friends at 4:00pm followed by a service at 5:00pm at Fellowship Church located at 8000 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37909. There will also be an informal gathering of family and close friends after the service. In celebration of Sarah’s life, we invite you to wear attire that reflects the brightness and joy she brought to all.
