William Jasper "Bill" Campbell Jr.

William Jasper “Bill” Campbell, Jr., born in Murray County, Georgia on July 20, 1928, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 26, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Katherine Householder Campbell, his parents, William Jasper, Sr., and Edna Ann Groves Campbell, as well as brothers Cecil (Lucille), George (Margo), and Billy Campbell, sisters Geneva (Emmett) Henton and Janette (Kirby) Smith. He is survived by his son, John (CeCe) Campbell, granddaughters Jennifer (Ryan) Blackburn and Julianne (Christian) Peake, and great-grandchildren Campbell and Gray Blackburn. He is also survived by brothers Wallace (Vivian), Jim (Annette) and Donald Campbell, and sisters-in-law Marjorie Chance and Marcelle Campbell. Bill moved to Knoxville after high school to attend business school and never left except for his time of honorable service with the Army. He had a long career in sales from which he retired early and owned and operated Campbell Quality Framers with his wife Katherine until his final retirement. They enjoyed meeting new friends and serving old friends in their shop where Bill was in charge of production and Katherine was in charge of quality control. Bill was a long-time member of West Lonsdale Baptist Church where he served in numerous areas including deacon, music director, treasurer, and Sunday School teacher. He was always faithfully involved with family and was a little league coach and Boy Scout leader. He was a 70 year member of Masters Powell Lodge #244 F&AM, Past Worthy Patron of Beaver Ridge chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, 32° Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Kerbela Shrine. The family would like to acknowledge with appreciation the loving care provided to Bill for many years at Windsor Ridge Assisted Living and for the last two months at Emory Ridge Memory Care and for the caring staff at both facilities. The family will receive friends at Rose Mann Mortuary, 6200 Kingston Pike, on Friday March 7, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 PM, with a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM.
