    Alice Campbell Vittetoe

    April 12, 2022

Alice Campbell Vitteto fell into the arms of Jesus on April 12, 2022, at the age of 87. She was of the Baptist faith and previously attended Ridgedale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Omar Vittetoe, whom she loved dearly. She was the last member of a very large family. Also precededing her in death were sisters: Gladys, Clara, Bernice, and Ann; brothers, Earl and Buster and their spouses; half-brother, Herbert; half sisters, Mildred and Murt; in laws, and her parents, John C. and Myrtle Campbell. From the age of 16 Alice worked hard, starting with Cas Walker Stores and ended her retirement from Regions Bank as a manager. She and her husband then owned and operated a produce and flower market even after retirement. She loved being with family and friends, doing crossword puzzles, facebook, and country music. She was a huge Elvis fan, who she had an opportunity to meet. Until her husband passed away they traveled across the U.S. sightseeing as many places as possible. She had a full and happy life with no regrets. She leaves to mourn her passing several nieces and nephews too numerous to name. Special acknowledgement to her nephew and caretaker for the last eight years, Stanley Campbell; close nephew, Bruce Campbell, and very special friend, Mary Lynn Norton. Alice was a sweet and gentle person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends and family may call at their convenience from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm Friday April 15, 2022, at ROSE FUNERAL AND CREMATION BROADWAY. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday April 16, 2022, at Clark’s Grove Cemetery with Rev. Rocky Kelley officiating. Online obituary may be viewed and condolences extended at www.rosefuneraltn.com.
