    Alma Fay Freeman Ellenburg

    December 24, 2020

Alma Fay Freeman Ellenburg, passed from this world into the arms of her heavenly Father on Christmas Eve 2020 surrounded by her family at home. Her step into eternity was welcomed by her precious son, Larry, and husband Henry Trent; father, William Earl Freeman, mother, Nell Crudgington Freeman and brother, Lynn Freeman. She was born March 29, 1927 in Bearden and was a 7th generation Tennessean. Miss Fay, (Tay Tay to her grandchildren) was a lifelong learner who stayed useful throughout her life working for Allergy and Asthma Affiliates until the Covid 19 crisis forced her to remain homebound. She loved ballroom dancing and loved to laugh often saying “happiness is a choice”. She had a passion for parenting and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ teaching preschool Sunday school at Central Baptist Church Fountain City for over fifty years. Her wisdom, strength, love and grace will be greatly missed by all she touched. She is survived by her children, Don (Carolyn) Ellenburg, Pam (Bob) Eubanks, Mary Anne (Frank) Tsakeres; grandchildren, Krista (Louis) Mavroff, Katie (David) Hendrickson, Trent (Jennifer) Ellenburg, Scott (Katie) Tsakeres, and Blake (Brad) Youngblood; great-grandchildren, Logan, Kendall, and Kelsey Mavroff, Karis and Brand Hendrickson, Henry, John, and Annie Tsakeres, Caden and Mary Michael Ellenburg, and Collins Youngblood; sister, Mary Freeman Stamps, sisters-in-law, Edna Ellenburg and Elsie Freeman and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to pandemic precautions services will be private. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gideon’s International and Fountain City Ministry Center, P.O. Box 5311, Knoxville, TN 37928. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com.
