Betty L. Wright Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Betty Lou (Wright) Wright; loving mother, grandmother and sister, peacefully passed away in her sleep at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee and went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2022 at the age of 92. Betty was a member of Central Baptist Church of Bearden and the Encouragers Sunday School Class. She especially cherished her grandsons who called her Mimi and brought her much joy and happiness. She spent a lifetime selflessly caring for others and enjoying her family and friends. She will be truly missed. Betty was preceded in death by parents, Fred Marion and Alberta Long Wright of Grainger County, Tennessee; beloved husband Bill D. Wright (married February 23, 1956); infant daughters Pamela Gayle and Donna Maria Wright; and brothers Howard, Charles, Gary and James Wright. She is survived by sister, Frances Jennings; daughter Karen Wright Jones and husband Andy; grandsons Chris Stanfill and Jeremy Jones; step-grandsons Chris, Jon and Tim Jones; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Long and Wright families. Receiving of Friends and Family will begin at 12:00pm Thursday, July 7th at Rose Funeral and Cremation -Mann, 6200 Kingston Pike. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00pm with Pastor Mark Moreland officiating. Meet for Interment at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 3:00pm.
