Carol Clem Faulkner

Carol Clem Faulkner, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly on December 6, 2020. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for more than 40 years. Known to her family as “Cackie,” she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Kenneth Faulkner; her parents, Herman and Irene Clem; brothers, John Clem and James "Bud" Clem; sisters, Evelyn Maples and Shirley Hurst. She is survived by her son Scott Faulkner (Dinah); granddaughter Olivia Faulkner; sister Phyllis Baer (Tom); sister-in-law Carole Faulkner Byrd; dear friend Lisa Gordon. Special acknowledgement goes to her friends and the staff at O’Charley’s Kingston Pike, who always treated her like royalty. Carol was an elementary music teacher for 39 years. After starting her career in Oak Ridge, she spent the better part of two decades at Ball Camp Elementary, followed by brief periods at Cedar Bluff, Farragut, and Karns Primary schools. Carol then became the music teacher at Rocky Hill Elementary, spending many years teaching the children in the community where she lived before retiring in 2001. Her love of music and passion for teaching were evident to all who knew her. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with a funeral service immediately following at 4:00 pm.
