Charlotte Polofsky Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Charlotte Polofsky, age 80, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at The Nursing Center of Little Creek on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She was born in Athens, Tennessee on January 7, 1942, and moved to Knoxville in the early 1960’s. Charlotte loved whole-heartedly, and her life centered around her family and friends, to whom she always provided devoted and comforting support. She loved to cook & garden and was a renowned hostess for extraordinary ballgame and holiday parties. She was particularly proud of her grandsons, and all things related to UT VOLS or Lady VOLS athletics. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Nina Robinson, of Athens, and her husband of 39 years, Gordon Polofsky. She is survived by an adoring immediate and extended family, as well as many near lifelong friends in Knoxville. Memorial services will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery – John Sevier, where Charlotte will be laid to rest with Gordon. Charlotte will be missed immeasurably, but there is great comfort in knowing that she will be reunited in heaven with so many cherished loved ones. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Nursing Center of Little Creek of Knoxville, where Charlotte received exceptionally loving and professional care for more than 5 years.
