Denise (“Neesy”) Moyers-Bond passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She bravely battled a series of prolonged illnesses and debilitating conditions. She is survived by brother Mike (Darlene) Moyers, sister Sherry (Martin) West. Nieces Alicia (Mark) Newhouse, Kayla (Zach) Ragsdale, Martina (Dyron) Holt, Whitney (Sam) Lawson. Nephews Austin (Erica) Moyers and Ben Moyers. Seven great nieces and nephews with three more on the way. She was preceded in death by parents Wanda and Benny Moyers, brother Steve Moyers, grandparents Aleen and Ben Moyers, Eula and Johnny Merritt. Graduating from Farragut High School in 1982, Neesy cleaned houses for years with her mother. Attended TN School of Beauty; became a Cosmetologist in 1995. Employed at Gail’s Hair Fashions for 14 years before retiring. Neesy was a tireless and selfless volunteer for her church, The Church of God of the Union Assembly, Knoxville. Meeting husband James Bond online in 1998, they acquainted by phone for a year and were already madly in love before meeting. An exciting long-distance relationship ensued; they married in Sept. 2001. Neesy loved the fictional character “James Bond 007” and loved referring to herself as “A Bond Girl.” Neesy loved to cook, travel, make jewelry and crafts, arrange flowers, and decorate. Neesy loved life and lived in a remarkably positive way. She was so excited whenever the opportunity arose to share testimony how God had miraculously healed her bodily afflictions repeatedly when doctors gave little hope for survival. Despite all her pain and suffering, Neesy remained upbeat and positive just as she did throughout all her life. Neesy was inspirational to all that knew her. One of her sayings was “Love is in the details” and she proved that every day of her life.
