Diane Gribble Walker, 68, of North Knoxville, joined her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Having bravely endured illness of several years’ duration, she passed away at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Paul Eugene Walker. For two decades, she served as receptionist for Dr. Jacob Bradsher’s thoracic surgery practice, and subsequently was employed as a CVS Pharmacy technician for an additional twenty years. Diane invariably took on projects that were arduous; welcoming into her home and caring for a series of disadvantaged people. She was mostly an unsung benefactor; neither anticipating nor desiring the recognition she deserved for all of her kind and unselfish deeds. One wondered how she took on so many lifelong challenges and executed them all so gracefully. Most of us would have been overwhelmed with the responsibility of it all, but it just seemed to further inspire Diane as she sought to help additional people. She led by example, always considering the needs of others before her own. Diane was truly a selfless and benevolent person who displayed compassion in all aspects of her life. Even as poor health sidelined her from playing an altruistic role in which she excelled, she maintained a positive attitude and a strong faith in God. She was an inspiration to those who knew her, as well as a devoted friend to many, all of whom are now left to mourn her loss. Memorial contributions may be made to the Feral Feline Friends of East Tennessee, c/o PetSmart, 214 Morrell Road, Knoxville, TN 37919 [email protected] Online condolences may be expressed at www.rosemortuary.com. Arrangements provided by Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
