Guynita Blaxton Miller

Guynita Blaxton Miller, age 84, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on December 31 after a long illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Ernie Miller; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Steven Wyatt, Farragut, Tennessee; and daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Mark Crenshaw, Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. She also leaves to mourn her passing, her brother Tommy Blaxton and her sister-in-law, Jacquelin Miller Naugher, as well as seven nieces and nephews, and her cousin, Jimmie Sue Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Amelia Faulkner Blaxton. Guynita grew up in Harrisburg, Arkansas and lived in Memphis, Tennessee for many years before moving to Knoxville in 1998. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Bearden. Guynita was a very talented individual with interests in needlepoint, antiques, and gardening. Guynita and Ernie would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on February 10, 2022. In memory of Guynita, a memorial service will be held at Rose-Mann Mortuary on 6200 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11 with Dr. Larry Fields and Mark Moreland officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 12, at 11 a.m. at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
