Jerry Lemuel Hunley

Jerry Lemuel Hunley age 79, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022. He was of the Baptist Faith and gave himself to the Lord. He served in the United States Air Force, and worked at Pathway Bellows for many years as a specialized nuclear welder and worked on the Twin Towers as well as other United States and overseas projects. He was a Mason. He loved his family dearly. He was a good man and father. He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Hunley of Knoxville. He is survived by his former spouse of 34 years, Patricia A. Hunley, three children: Diana L. Jones (Rick), Kimberly Savage (Robert) and Steve Hunley; four grandchildren: Heather Ryan, Jacob Jones, Connor Hunley and Chelsey Savage; two great-grandchildren: Kaedin and Ava Ryan; and brother, Wayne Hunley. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Rose Funeral & Cremation Broadway. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 pm Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier Hwy) for a 2:00 pm graveside service officiated by Chaplain Dexter Jordan.
