Katherine I. Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Katherine Irene Jones, of Lake City, passed away on June 2, 2022 at the age of 64. Kathy was the daughter of the late Lee Caswell and Edith Shipe Jones and a graduate of Holston High School. She went on to earn her Master of Arts at New York University, Master of Science from Columbia University and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Tennessee. An accomplished Nurse Practitioner, Kathy worked at several prestigious hospitals including Mount Sinai Medical Center, NYU Medical Center, and UT Medical Center. She was a beautiful and bright spirit who will always be remembered for her wit and kindness. Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Cranny; brother, Lee C. Jones, Jr and wife Ligia; sister, Emily A. Jones and husband Eric Vreeland; special niece, Alexa Perez; stepdaughter, Adrienne Manning; brother-in-law, Pat Cranny; nephews, Rob Kearns, Simon Cranny, Kevin Kearns; all of her Shipe, Gilmer, Vance, Sitton and Howard cousins; special friends Elinor Thompson, Ann Cheek, Keith Richardson; precious cat Ellie; and other extended family and friends. Family and Friends will gather on Saturday, June 18th at Church of the Savior, 934 Weisgarber Rd, Knoxville, TN 37909, for a Memorial Service to begin at 5:00pm, with Rev. John Gill officiating.
