Linda Maples Moyers Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Linda Maples Moyers, age 74, of Fountain City, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 to join her beloved husband, Bill Moyers, after a 28 day separation. After graduating from South High School in the Class of 66, she began her career in retail, first at the Dollar Store, then K-Mart and retiring from Kohl’s. She was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Nazarene in Jamestown and a former member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church in South Knoxville. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clifford Moyers; parents Mildred (Jim) Brown and Amos Maples; son, John Moyers. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Gail Maples; nephew, Mark Maples; aunt, Georgia Blazier; son and daughter-in-law, William Scott and Brenda Moyers; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Moyers; grandchildren, Andrew Moyers, Cassandra (Daniel) Gary, Brandon (Brittany) Moyers, Cody Moyers, Lauren Gray (Matthew Ward); great-grandchildren, Joseph, Elizabeth and Charlotte Gary, William and Colt Moyers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Rose Funeral & Cremation-Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Sam Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Moyers, Scott Moyers, Andrew Moyers, Daniel Gary, Matthew Ward and Terry Messer.
