Lois Gail Thomas age 67, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Murphy, father, Edgar Murphy, mother, Bonnell Murphy, brother, Steve Murphy, grandparents: Lee Carr, Pearl Carr, Lucille Murphy, and William Murphy; and aunt, Shirley Lydia. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley “Sissy” C. Johnson , grandchildren: Preston Murphy, Brandon Murphy, Gavin Murphy, Chelsea Strader, Justin Johnson, David Johnson, and Zac Adkins; great-grandchildren: Braylin Adkins, Jayden Murphy, Mason Murphy, Skylah Johnson, and Arabella Johnson; brothers: Edward (Kim) Murphy, Charlie (Donna) Murphy, and David Murphy; sisters: Debbie (Keith) Trent, Darlene Murphy, and Rebecca (Rick) Shutrump; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as extended family and friends. The family wants to mention Kim Murphy, Jamie Johnson, Jaworski Workman, nieces and nephews: Tiffany Arden, Michael Arden, Sidney Lee “Bumper” and Carrie Jo Johnson, Linda Johnson and Chrishanda Jones; and special friends, Doc, Judith, and Betty for all their love shown. The family will receive friends at Rose Funeral & Cremation Broadway on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Interment services will be private.
