Paul R. Shields Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Paul Robert Shields, of Knoxville, TN passed way of pneumonia at University of Tennessee Medical Center on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the age of 89. He was born to Clarence F. and Ima (Mitchell) Shields and graduated from Flora High School in Indiana before coming to Tennessee on basketball scholarship earning a BA from Johnson University. Paul resided and worked in Indiana, California, Nevada, Ohio, Arizona and Tennessee, living life to the fullest and leaving a rich legacy through his family. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; siblings, William J. Shields, LaDonna (Shields) Allen. Wife, Virginia Sue (Allen) Shields; wife, Bonnie Shields; and daughter, Joy Lynn (Shields) Landgraf. He is survived by son, William F. Shields; daughter, Stephanie G. Oliver and husband John; grandchildren, Amber Shields, Taylor Landgraf, Brett Shields, Kaitlyn (Shields) Arnold, Maxwell Oliver; and other extended family and friends. The Family is planning a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, July 16th at First Christian Church in Flora Indiana. A Private Interment is taking place there at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
