    Retired Captain Richard Allen Trott

    June 9, 1957 - March 6, 2022

    Retired Captain Richard Allen Trott (Knox County Sheriff’s Office), age 64, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family, on Sunday, March 6, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. He was a member of Calvary Chapel of Knoxville, and spent over thirty four years in law enforcement. He loved spending time with his family. Rick was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2 and he loved his law enforcement family. He was preceded in death by parents, Charles Richard Trott and Joyce Smith Trott Ward, grandparents, George and Mildred Trott, and Claude and Mary Ann Parker. He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Katherine Mae Trott; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kelly Trott, and Matt and Krista Trott; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Sean Baldwin; grandchildren, Makayla and John Miracle, Haley and Nathaniel Shine, Emma Williams, Mariah Baldwin, Bailey Trott, and Bentley Baldwin; dad, Milton Ward and wife Susan; brother, Larry Trott; and sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Mark Roberts, and aunt, JoAnn Thompson. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday, March 10, 2022, at ROSE FUNERAL & CREMATION BROADWAY. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Mark Kirk officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to www.glioblastomafoundation.org. Online obituary may be viewed and condolences extended at www.rosefuneraltn.com.
