Robert L Tugwell Jr.

January 9, 1947 - February 1, 2022

Robert Lee Tugwell, Jr., of Knoxville, passed away at his home on February 1, 2022 at the age of 75. Bob was born to Robert, Sr. and Marian Elliott Tugwell and attended Bearden High School before going on to the University of Tennessee to earn his Bachelor’s Degree. He also obtained his Professional Engineering Certificate and worked for Robert G. Campbell and Associates as a civil engineer for many years. He retired from Michael Brady, Inc. and enjoyed going to Pensacola Beach, going fishing, and watching UT sports. He will always be remembered for his quiet determination and dry wit. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Kay Cerone and Steve Tugwell. He is survived and will be forever missed by children, Robert Lee Tugwell, III and wife Ashton Tugwell, Brad Smith; grandchildren, Clark Tugwell, Rivers Tugwell; former wife and close friend, Cindy Tugwell; sister, Sue Cox and husband Rac Cox; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, February 5th at 3:30pm at Rose Funeral and Cremation – Mann, 6200 Kingston Pike, with Rac Cox officiating.
