Sharon Kay McCampbell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sharon Kay McCampbell 79, of Knoxville, TN passed away peacefully on March 13, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Louisa Hodge, Tom C. McCampbell, brother-in-law John Rucker and niece Laura Storch. She is survived by her children John (Alicia) McCampbell and Allison (Joe) Allen, her four beloved grandchildren, Mary Catherine MCampbell, Lauren, Andrew, and Matthew Allen, her brother Mike (Elaine) Hodge, niece Bettye (Randy) Hodge-Ward and her two sisters-in-law Dianne Rucker and Sarah (Gerry) Scarbrough. Kay was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished spending time with her family and friends and always had a smile for everyone. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1965. After graduation, she began a career with the State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services that would span 33 years, devoting her life to those less fortunate and those in need. She was a long time member of Central Baptist Church of Bearden.. The family will receive friends on March 25 at 12pm with a memorial service to follow at 1pm in the chapel at Rose Funeral and Cremation - Mann in Knoxville, TN. Graveside service for the family to follow at 3pm at Oakland Baptist Church in Rutledge, TN. In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to Isaiah 1:17 House Knox County.
