William Clifford (Bill) Moyers Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William Clifford (Bill) Moyers, age 86, of Fountain City, passed peacefully Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at NHC Farragut. He was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Nazarene in Jamestown. Bill was retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, but worked at all three plants for twenty-five years in central engineering. He worked at several area funeral homes as a licensed embalmer and Funeral Director. He served in the Navy Reserve as a corpsman for many years. He was an amateur radio operator and active in several emergency communication groups with a call sign of WB4YPO. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Moyers, Sr. and Lucille Welch Moyers; first wife, Elizabeth Ann Arp Moyers; and oldest son, John Welch Moyers. He is survived by wife, Linda Maples Moyers; son and daughter-in-law, William Scott and Brenda (Gray) Moyers; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Gainer Moyers; grandchildren, Andrew Moyers, Cassandra (Daniel) Gary, Brandon (Brittany) Moyers, Cody Moyers, Lauren Gray (Matthew Ward); great grandchildren, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Charlotte Gary, William and Colt Moyers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Gail Maples. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm Saturday, June 18, 2022, at ROSE FUNERAL & CREMATION BROADWAY. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm with Pastor Sam Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Andrew Moyers, Brandon Moyers, Daniel Gary, Mathew Ward, Marcus Woodworth, and Greg Blankenship.
