Mary Anne Adcock Beall

Mary Anne Adcock Beall passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, October 26, 2017. She was born February 8, 1924 to Elizabeth Rodgers and Lewis Stanley Adcock. She is survived by her husband of 71 years Samuel E. Beall, Jr. She is also survived by daughters Anne Lewis Hillmer (Ralph), Elizabeth Rodgers Wolfenbarger (Cary), Hallie Hope Ingram (Mark) and sons Samuel (Sandy) E. Beall III (Suzanna), William Price Beall (Karen), niece Jennie Farmer (Don) and daughter-in-law, Kreis Beall. Non’s grandchildren are: Elizabeth Walton (Monty), Lt. Col. Ralph (Tyke) Hillmer III (Stacy), Andy Hillmer (Veazey), Sam Beall IV (deceased)(Mary Celeste), David Beall (Lauren), Shawn Wolfenbarger (Wendy), Mary Hope Maples (Ken), Mallarie Cash (Jesse), Grace Beall, Eliza Jane Beall, Maxwell Ingram, Madeline Ingram and McKenzie Ingram. Her great grandchildren are: Mary Lewis, Anna, Jessica and Michael Walton, Hannah, Hayes and Myers Hillmer, Zach and Alex Bennett, Fletcher and Mary Anne Beall Hillmer, Cameron, Sam, Rose, Josephine and Lila Beall, Isabella Beall, Charlie Wolfenbarger, Avery, Hallie, Sullivan, Blake and Parker Maples. Mary Anne was a member of Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and active in the Women of the Church. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, was a member of Chi Omega Sorority, Junior League, Girls Cotillion, the Smart Club and Colonial Dames of America. Her many charitable activities included Knox Area Rescue Ministries, Boys and Girls Club, Senior Citizens Home Aid Service, Girl Scouts of America, Mount Rest Home, East Tennessee Foundation and Fort Sanders Hospital as a volunteer. Mary Anne touched countless lives as a loyal friend, a faithful volunteer and the loving matriarch of her family. She was an extraordinary inspiration to all and shared her zest for life with all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her unconditional love, servant’s heart and gracious spirit will live on in the lives of those who loved her. A memorial service honoring Mary Anne’s life will be held 11:00 am Monday at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church with receiving of friends to follow in the Baron Hall. Private Family Graveside. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Mary Anne to KARM, Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church, East Tennessee Foundation, or Helen Ross McNabb Center.
